La Bastide Saint Dominique Cote Rotie Rouge AOP 2012

Intense dark garnet-red color. Dark fruit (blackberries), somewhat flower-like (viognier) roasted nuts, earthly tones, leather and mocha. Tempting tannin, nice concentration and finesse. This wine will taste great alongside red meat, such as pheasant and game, but also sausages. The soft saltiness of bacon works wonderfully well with this wine, as do hard cheeses.
